• VISION 2025
  

  Every local assembly called the church needs a vision.  The vision is a picture of a preferred future given by God through our spiritual leader.  In 2013, God blessed our Pastor with VISION 2020.  It comprised of redevelopment, revival, and restructuring.  The success of this vision culminated with the purchase of 1821 Lancaster Boulevard, where you'll find Fuller Chapel, the Community Kitchen, and Bethlehem Hall.  We grew from 2 acres to 6 acres of land and buildings for the purpose of developing both people and our community.

  In January of 2019, the Lord gave our pastor more of HIs picture for the ministry of The Growing Valley Church Family.  We now know this as "VISION 2025".  

  The thematic thrust of Vision 2025 is: "Connecting Every Generation to Christ and His Church".

  The scriptural basis for Vision 2025 is found in Acts 2:39 "For the promise is unto you, and to your children, and to all that are afar off, even as many as the Lod our God shall call."

  We are so excited about what God is doing among us here in The Growth Experience Live!  We invite the entire community to share, shine, and sow as God moves this local body of Spirit filled believers forward in advancing the kingdom of God!

• 2020 Church Emphasis
  

  Our 2020 Church Emphasis is:

  "Servant Leaders Ministering Together In Community".  

   

  The scriptural basis is found in 2 Corinthians 4:1 which reads,

  "Therefore seeing we have this ministry, as we have received mercy, we faint not;" (KJV)

  "Therefore, since God in his mercy has given us this new way, we never give up." (NLT)
• LIFE APPLICATION HOUR & FOCUS GROUPS

  LIFE APPLICATION HOUR 

  on Sunday's 9:30am - 10:30am

  Our Life Application time is what has formally been referred to as the Sunday School Hour.  Every member is encouraged to grow in their discipleship through these focus groups.  We believe IF YOU SHOW UP AND RECEIVE THE SEEDS OF GOD'S WORD, YOU'LL GROW UP IN JESUS! Each Sunday morning from 9:30am - 10:30am the following focus groups are offered:

  Youth Division (Education Building)

  5-8 yr olds - Children's Class

  9-12 - Youth Class

  12-17 - Teen Crew

  New Members/Disciples/ (Education Building)

  All who join TheGVBC (18+) are encouraged to complete 6 classes in our introductory class.  Here you'll learn all about your new church family and what 'The Growth Experience Live' is really all about!  The class includes information about our church history, mission, vision, core values, how we operate, our expectations, areas of service, and much more!!  Once completing this class, each person will receive a certificate of completion, receive the right hand of fellowship (given on 1st Sunday's), and be directed toward a Focus Group of their choice!

  We call it 'THE GROWTH EXPERIENCE LIVE!!"

  What is it like to grow with other believers?  Come experience God in a worship service that's intentionally reaching out to souls for Jesus!  You'll find a blend of new school with a touch of old school!  Point blank: WE JUST LOVE JESUS!!!

  Questions you may have?

  What should I wear?  New Creature attire encouraged.  We wear jeans, sweaters, suits, polos, dress shoes, tennis shoes.  The main thing is to be reverent of God and respectful of others in what we wear "to church".

  Who should I bring? Everybody you know and anyone who is willing starting with your family, your friends, and neighbors!

  Will I have fun?  That all depends on your attitude and openness to experience God!  We believe in the freedom of expression from hearts that know that Jesus is alive and is Lord!  

  Will I experience God?  Our prayer is that you will experience the transforming God by the power of the Holy Spirit in the worship experience.  

  Do I have to be perfect?  We believe in the process of sanctifcation.  We believe in the forgiveness, grace, and mercy of God. We are a body of believers who confess we are NOT PERFECT; however, we are being perfected by the PERFECTOR!  We are growing, healing, changing, and confessing Christ on a daily, weekly, monthly basis!  We are a church going onto perfection, being changed by the power of God!  In other words, you'd fit right in just fine, especially if you're willing to admit you need the Lord Jesus!
